i am 2009 ECE passed out .why are the companies not preferring ece students.i have faced a couple of interviews with a few companies.they all took cs students only.why is it so........?

There wont be any partiality like that ,may be u should see the job description before you attend interview because if the job profile is purely programming by default they give preference to CS/IS and if its for E&C related work off course u get preference...

Dont worry be confident you will get your opportunity
