Namaskara Nanna priya ITK Sahodare mathe Sahodiare,

This is my first blog on ITK. This is a Level 400 Article. Level 400: You are an advanced Technologist and know what you are doing.

To start things off, I thought let me start an Article Series of how does one get started in Virtualization Technologies.

There are a host of resources and documentation, that explains what virtualization is in theory. I am going to spare you all the pain and help you learn the practical way.

Today remember, theory is only part of the learning process, the majority of time, we spend today are on practicals.

Hardware and Software

Hardware

1) You will need to have a 64bit capabable processor, Intel EMT64 / AMD 64.

To identify whether your system supports Virtualization or not, download this tool and run it

http://www.grc.com/files/securable.exe  or the Intel Processor Utility

http://downloadcenter.intel.com/confirm.aspx?httpDown=http://downloadmirror.intel.com/7838/eng/pidenu24.msi&agr=N&ProductID=1881&DwnldId=7838&strOSs=All&OSFullName=All Operating Systems⟨=eng
2) You will need to enable Hardware Virtualization in your BIOS

3) 2-4 GB of RAM ( as you will need to allocate some from your RAM to the Virtual OS)

4) A good network

Software

1) VirtualBox from Oracle, A free Virtualization Solution

http://www.virtualbox.org

This completes our setup.

In the next section of this Article, I will show you how to install Linux using this.

Stay Tuned.

Forever R Never ....??

never make a promise,
that you cant keep to me.

never stay,
if all you want is to leave.

never want me,
if all you do
is hurt me at the end.

never feel for  me,
if you dont even love me.

never say youll start,
if you dont intend to finish.

never break my heart,
if you really want me.

 never stay,
if you dont even need me.

i dont want you to
pretend this is real,
if it is nothing to you.

because i love you,
with all i have.

my love is yours,
but you dont want it.

but i want you
and i really need you.

never say forever,
if you mean tomorrow.

never say yes,
if you mean other.

but if you really mean
those things,
then tell me you want me,
tell me you love me,
and tell me
youll keep me forever.

After 2 years of selfless service, a man realized that he has not been promoted, no transfer, no salary increase no commendation and that the Company is not doing any thing about it. So he decided to walk up to His HR Manager one morning and after exchanging greetings, he told his HR Manager his observation. The boss looked at him, laughed and asked him to sit down saying. My friend, you have not worked here for even one day.

The man was surprised to hear this, but the manager went on to explain.

Manager:- How many days are there in a year?

Man:- 365 days and some times 366

Manager:- how many hours make up a day?

 Man:- 24 hours

Manager:- How long do you work in a day?

Man:- 8am to 4pm. i.e. 8 hours a day.

Manager:- So, what fraction of the day do you work in hours?

Man:- (He did some arithmetic and said 8/24 hours i.e. 1/3(one third)

Manager:- That is nice of you! What is one-third of 366 days?

Man:- 122 (1/3x366 = 122 in days)

Manager:- Do you come to work on weekends?

Man:- No sir

Manager:- How many days are there in a year that are weekends?

Man:- 52 Saturdays and 52 Sundays equals to 104 days

Manager:- Thanks for that. If you remove 104 days from 122 days, how many days do you now have?

Man:- 18 days.

Manager:- OK! I do give you 2 weeks sick leave every year. Now remove that14 days from the 18 days left. How  many days do you have remaining?

Man:- 4 days

Manager:- Do you work on New Year day?

Man:- No sir!

Manager:- Do you come to work on workers day?

Man:- No sir!

Manager:- So how many days are left?

Man:- 2 days sir!

Manager:- Do you come to work on the (National holiday )?

Man:- No sir!

Manager:- So how many days are left?
Man:- 1 day sir!

Manager:- Do you work on Christmas day?
Man:- No sir!

Manager:- So how many days are left?

Man:- None sir!

Manager:- So, what are you claiming?

Man:- I have understood, Sir. I did not realise that I was stealing Company money all these days.

Moral - NEVER GO TO HR FOR HELP!!!
   Have a Nice Day.

When you try your best, but you don't succeed

When you get what you want but not what you need

When you feel so tired but you can't sleep

Stuck in reverse?

And the tears come streaming down your face

When you lose something you can't replace

When you love someone but it goes to waste

Could it be worst?

The Mental Chain :0)

The Mental Chain

Most people are like the circus elephant. Have you ever seen a giant elephant in an indoor arena tied to a little wooden stake. That huge creature can pick up two thousand pounds with its trunk, yet it calmly stays tied.

Why?

When that elephant was just a baby, and not very strong, it was tied by a huge chain to an iron stake that could not be moved. Regardless of how hard it tried, it could not break the chain and run free. After it a while it just gave up.

Later, when it is strong, it never attempts to break free.

The "imprint" is permanent.

"I can't! I can't!' it says.

There are millions of people who behave like this creature of the circus.

They have been bound, tied and told "You'll never make it," so many times they finally call it quits.

They may have dreams, but the "imprinting" keeps pulling them back.

Today, eliminate the source of your limitations. When you mentally break free, the boundaries will be removed from your future.

One of the British noblemen had left behind a big castle which contained priceless paintings.

The public could come and see them from time to time. One day a group of people were moving through the large rooms and admiring the paintings as they went.

One elderly woman never spoke a word but would repeatedly go close to each picture and examine it very carefully. After the visit, someone asked her what she thought of it all. "It was perfect," she said with enthusiasm. "I could not find a speck of dust anywhere."

How often we miss the beauties of life because we are so intent on looking for faults.

Someone puts it this way: "There is so much bad in the best of us, and so much good in the worst of us, that it is not fair for any of us to speak against the rest of us."

Face the Brutes by Swami Vivekananda

Face the Brutes There are a few fortunate souls who are lucky enough to attain success without pitfalls; the rest have to pass through the hurdles and dificulties. But the real hero is who welcomes challenges in life and faces them with boldness and courage.Such a person crossing all the hurdles comes out successfully like a lion. The following incident took place during Swami Vivekananda's wandering days, when he was staying at varanasi. It conveys a profund message to the world. One day, while returning from the Durga temple, Swamiji was chased by some monkeys. To save himself,Swamiji started running, but the monekys ran still faster and grew increasingly aggressive.Meanwhile, an old monk who was witnessing the scene called out to him: 'Stop running.Face the brutes.' Swamiji heard his call and turned to 'face the brutes.' Swamiji drew a great lesson from this incident. He learnt that one should not run away, when faced with danger or difficulty; and instead, one must face it boldly. In his later life, addressing a gathering in New York,he said; 'That is a lesson for all life-face the terrible, face it boldly.Like the monekys, the hardships of life fall back, when we cease to flee before them. We have to face fear and troubles and ignorance, if we expect them to flee before us.
