About ITKannadigas
"TOLL OF IT GROWTH ON KANNADA LANGUAGE"
Kannada the second oldest of the four major Dravidian languages with a literary convention is also called as Kanarese or Kannana. It is the official language of the state of Karnataka in southern India. It is renowned as “'Classical language' with the legacy of over 1500 years by the union Government of India.
A Kannadiga, is not merely someone who has lived in the state for 15 years, but who can also speak, read and write Kannada "reasonably well". Kannadigas has made their mark in world in many fields especially in software scene. Expatriate Kannadiga working in other counties also have made mark in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) arena. But there are many kannadigas who are totally cut off from the benefits of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) arena. That’s where this portal comes into light as a startup guide to rejuvenate that all the kannadigas along with the kannada language has to get their lost place in its own state along with the imminent recognition which it splendidly deserves and in turn lend a hand to uplift the sagging spirits of Kannadigas.
Due to globalization of economy, it is with a great pain and anguish to put forth for what is happening in Karnataka and Kannadigas to the aboriginals in the recent past. This is not an undesirable one. What is undesirable one is, when some body wants to say that there is no place for Kannada in Bangalore, he would throw in the words like cosmopolitan, IT capital. Kannadigas presence is hardly felt in our own state let alone outside like USA, UK or any other country. It is indeed a high time that kannadigas come out of their self-imposed exile. Though Kannada is a rich language, due to the negligence of Kannadigas it could not secure the classical tag in time. Kannadigas should make every effort to promote Kannada and make the language rich; we should sell Kannada as "THE" language. We should proudly spread the message... more in terms of the greatness of Kannada rather than through outrage. People who don't care for Kannada cannot be forced into liking it or appreciating it. Things can be improved, however, if those of us who feel passionately about Kannada try hard to keep it flourishing. Like the survival of the fittest, we shall, over time, form a population of Kannadigas, who like the hardcore people from our neighboring states cherish and fight for Kannada. The rest of the pseudo Kannadigas will fade away anyway. Hopefully this site is read by thousands and makes a difference in how we Kannadigas treat our own Kannada.
